We wrapped this one up today, 8ft high retaining wall, natural stone riprap on the exposed sides, concrete anchor blocks embedded in the pad to secure the building to, power dug in and a French drain to catch water off the road.

We all like to post the big impressive projects and never the setbacks...yesterday we had this retaining wall 75% finished when we realized that we had made a mistake and were 10 inches off . So this morning we took it all back down to the ground and built it again. It's important that our clients get what they pay for, and that we can point to a project years down the road, and say we built that, with pride.

When you call us we don't have to call someone else, we provide the full service from excavation to trucking so we're never held up waiting on someone to provide half the job

Here's an update on the broker load I posted about yesterday, this company charged the customer $1200.00 for an 18 ton load of 1" clean. I charged the company $350.00 that's material, delivery and credit card fees. They made $850.00 just for taking an order and calling me. As I said yesterday I make a point not to do business with brokers, but this one managed to get by me. I really don't care if you call someone else but just call someone local so this doesn't happen to you.

I've said this before, but when you order a load of gravel please make sure you're dealing with someone local and not a 3rd party broker, normally I will not accept loads from brokers, I accidentally accepted one today before I realized who I was dealing with. If you go through one of these brokers you're paying 20-50% more for nothing.

Today we had a couple trucks hauling 5-600 ton of rock for the county road and bridge, top loading a scraper with a hoe to get some dirt moved around a job site, a loader doing some finishing grading on a large pond that we have been working on, and finished up about 6:30 this evening with a livestock burial.
