Heard of the TED conference? Great thinkers sharing great ideas! Free TED app and TED.com website. I listened to one on marketing yesterday. ACT PREP...is it really worth it??? Many families spend hundreds of dollars and numerous hours prepping for the ACT/SAT. Here's my 2 cents worth: it's essential to PREpare--as in PRIOR TO--for the test. However, it's really all about planning. Knowing what to expect on the test, then consistantly reviewing examples. Many students are anxiety filled about the content. I feel you either know it or you don't. So, focusing more on the PLAN, rather than content is the key.
SHARE WHAT YOU THINK, please. And, if you know anyone in need of affordable coaching for the ACT, have them contact me. I have found success with students in this area the last few years. Oh yeah, I think my formula is worth MORE than 2 cents! I know you will too.

COLLEGE FINANCIAL AID? Yes, I'll have some. Now that those college acceptance letters start hitting the mailbox--you should know and beware of the fact that, according to Kiplinger Personal Finance, starting in Fall 2012 the interest rate on Stafford SUBSIDIZED (yea, the good ones) Student Loans will DOUBLE to 6.8% interest! "I Hope I Die Before I Have To Live With Old People" Well, not really. In fact one my favorite quotes I try to LIVE by is: "I want to die young at an old age!" (thanks to my buddy Patrick Combs for that). DYK? that 10,000 of we baby boomers are turning 65 EVERYDAY for the next 19 YEARS???
