Being good at what you do doesn't guarantee that everyone else understands the full value of your experience. And when you're several years into your career, there can be a lot for someone else to understand.

You've grown beyond the bullet points on an old resume. Your responsibilities have changed. You've learned how to handle situations that used to feel difficult. You've developed judgment and perspective that came from actually doing the work.

The question now is whether you're communicating all of that in a way that makes sense for the opportunity you want next.

If there's a gap, we can work on closing it.

Me yesterday. It’s been a while, but I’m making my way back out there! Relationship-building (dare I say “networking”) is a long-term game, but if you don’t show up you could be missing out on great connections and contacts and someone who needs what you offer and requires your presence misses out.
