This belief has been at the heart of Bota Group from the very beginning.

When our Founder and CEO, Lola Gazivoda , built Bota Group, she saw an opportunity to connect two things that were too often separated by distance: exceptional Albanian talent and growing American businesses.

What started with a simple idea has grown into something much bigger: a bridge between people, cultures, and opportunities.

A day to connect, laugh & grow together 🤍

We spend most of our days working remotely, connected through screens, calls, messages, and shared goals.

So, every once in a while, it’s important to put the screens away and simply be together.

On August 9, the BOTA team headed to Razëm for a day filled with good conversations, coffee, lunch, team-building games, laughter, and a little friendly competition. 🏔️

It was a chance to step away from our usual routines, get to know each other outside of work, and create memories together.

And this time, we also got to have our Founder & CEO, Lola Gazivoda, with us, making the day even more meaningful.

Because team building isn’t just about games and activities.

It’s about building trust, strengthening relationships, discovering each other’s personalities, and creating the kind of connection that makes working together even better.

Those three words took us a while to finalize. Not because we couldn't think of better marketing language. Actually...we thought of plenty. The problem was that every time we came up with something that sounded impressive, I found myself asking one question:

"Have we truly earned the right to say that?"

If the answer wasn't an immediate yes, it came off the list.

The story behind the name BOTA Group.

When our Founder & CEO, Lola Gazivoda , was choosing a name for the company, she wasn’t looking for something that simply described what we do. She wanted a name that reflected the values the company would stand for.

She found it in a word she had known since childhood: Bota.

In Albanian, Bota means world. But as Lola shared, growing up, it represented something much deeper: your character, your reputation, and the way you treat others.

Those values continue to shape Bota Group today.

While we help businesses build high-performing teams across borders, our purpose has always been centered on people. We believe that lasting partnerships are built on trust, integrity, and relationships that grow over time.

Over the weekend, we held a soft opening of our Shkodër, Albania office.

This milestone carries meaning for us.

From the beginning, Bota was built with the intention of creating opportunity while staying connected to where it all started. As we’ve grown across Albania, Kosovo, and Montenegro, Shkodër has remained a core part of that vision.

Today, that vision is reflected in a team that takes real ownership in the work and in what Bota represents.
