Business update:

Hey there folks. After a great deal of consideration, Wind's Edge will be moving all drop off services to its White Salmon location, located at 1321 Greentree Lane, White Salmon WA.

Further, this coming Saturday is the first event of the Hood River Farmer's Market summer season! If you haven't had your items sharpened in a bit, it'll be a great opportunity to get your items serviced that day!

Hello folks! Wind's Edge owner/operator will be out of the region from February 23rd through the entirety of March, returning early April. All commercial and residential services will not be operating during this time, and the lockers will be closed during this window.

2025 was a busy year, and this is a welcomed break and refresh before the upcoming 2026 market season, in which Wind's Edge will reach four years of operation! To everyone who has supported Wind's Edge thus far, thank you.

Hello folks. Due to general increases in operating costs and the cost of living in The Gorge, Wind's Edge will be increasing its pricing. Individuals may still receive assistance pricing (three free items per household for food prep, gardening or wood heating prep, see Assistance Pricing post for details) upon request. No questions asked.

With Federal SNAP benefits being increasingly in question, the need for community support is only rising. As such, Wind's Edge Sharpening is expanding its Assistance rate for the foreseeable future.

When using Wind's Edge Drop Off Locker Services, households may request for assistance rates and have up to three kitchen items for food prep, gardening tools or axes for wood and heating prep sharpened free, no questions asked. Assistance Rate services will be completed within seven days (regular turnaround time is within three business days).

Feel free share this publicly and privately for those that it could help.

As a community, we can get through this.

Wind's Edge Hair & Beauty shear sharpening service is officially live!

This service comes from years of hands-on sharpening experience and professional training in haircutting. So your shears will be serviced by someone who knows how they should feel in use.

Right now, I’m offering sharpening for straight shears only (curved shear services are in the works).

Hello folks! Spring is around the corner. Which means farmers markets and reviving gardens. Above are new, updated prices. Lockers are still operating as we finish up the winter and will continue to be a way to get your items serviced before, through and after the main market season.

A reminder that Wind's Edge Sharpening services are available all winter. It has wrapped up its pop ups and markets for the year. But with its drop off lockers/locations (officially on Google maps), it's services may be accessed all year round, no appointments necessary. Drop off and pick up at your convenience. During or beyond normal business hours

Now is a great time to get your items sharpened before the holidays, for any left over winter prep for gardens, splitting wood for the furnace, etc.

With fall in motion, Wind's Edge will soon be wrapping up its pop up sharpening events. This coming week, it will have pop ups in Hood River, Parkdale, White Salmon and Trout Lake. Depending on how the weather shifts over the next few weeks, these may be the last pop ups of the 2024 season.

Wind's Edge sharpening services will still be available throughout the year for residential sharpening. It's drop off locations can be found on google maps. Accessible at all hours, No appointments necessary. When possible, please keep drop offs and pickups to daylight hours.

Wind's Edge's Owner/Operator will be out of town until Saturday, September 28th, where they will return for the Hood River Farmers Market. All items dropped off before then will be serviced and ready for pickup on Monday, September 30th.
