Isolated severe thunderstorms will be possible today through this evening.

Main threats include:
🌨️ Hail up to the size of golf balls
💨 Damaging wind gusts up to 75 mph
🌪️ A possibility of an isolated tornado
🌧️ Localized heavy rainfall

Please stay weather-aware and have a way to receive warnings. If severe weather approaches, move indoors and stay away from windows.

Low humidity and gusty winds are creating near-critical wildland fire conditions across portions of north central today. While the chance of widespread hazardous weather remains low, the fire danger is HIGH.
Please do your part to help prevent wildfires:

🚫 Avoid outdoor burning.
🚫 Don't park vehicles on dry grass.
🚫 Secure trailer chains to prevent sparks.

🚬 Properly dispose of smoking materials.
👀 Stay alert and report any signs of smoke immediately.

Today marked the kickoff of our Firefighter 1 Academy here in White Shield!

We're proud to welcome a strong group of dedicated trainees, including members from the White Shield Fire Department, the Emergency Operations Center, and the Parshall Fire Department.

We're excited to work with the 2026 Firefighter 1 class as they develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to serve their communities. Wishing everyone a safe and successful academy—we're looking forward to the growth and service that lies ahead!
