Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and early evening. While severe weather is not expected, a few storms could produce small hail and gusty winds.

🌪️⚠️ TORNADO WATCH / SEVERE WEATHER ALERT ⚠️🌪️
Numerous severe thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening, with storms possible beginning around 6:00 PM.
⛈️ Hazards may include: 🎾 Hail up to tennis ball size
💨 Damaging winds up to 80 MPH
🌪️ A few tornadoes, one or two of which could be strong
Please stay weather aware, have multiple ways to receive warnings, and be prepared to seek shelter if conditions worsen.

EMERGENCY SHELTER NOTICE

Please be advised that the storm shelter at the Ralph Wells Jr. Community Center will open at 4:00 PM on June 9, 2026. Cots, food, and water will be available for those needing shelter during the severe weather event. Everyone is encouraged to also bring your own blankets and pillows.

Ralph Wells Jr. Community Center Shelter address: 1104 Warrior St, Roseglen, ND 58775.

Once severe weather impacts the area, White Shield/East Segment will be under a Shelter in Place advisory. During this time, only emergency response personnel should be traveling unless absolutely necessary. Residents are encouraged to remain indoors, monitor weather conditions, and have essential medications, personal items, chargers, and emergency supplies readily available.

Community members seeking shelter are asked to check in upon arrival and follow all instructions provided by shelter staff and emergency personnel.
