Welcome to the team, Meeka!
Meeka Hughes has been planning events for 8 years and has experience in social and corporate events. She has a 30-year background working as a legal assistant at various law firms and excels in organization and client service. Meeka also runs her own event planning company called Leave it to Meeka and has recently added interior decorating to her business.
She has two adult sons that are both doing very well in the tech world. Her oldest son has a computer science degree and works as a connected vehicle engineer, programming autonomous vehicles. Her youngest son has a cyber security degree and works as a senior cyber security analyst. In her free time, Meeka enjoys spending time with her sons, traveling, attending various floral and business workshops, gardening and designing floral arrangements for her clients and their events.

Elsea Burrows will be assisting with AFP and MPI Michigan/MPI CRV. She is a colorful and enthusiastic Events Assistant with Treeline Associates who has nearly 10 years of experience ranging from photography and design to sales and management. With a long history in venue and event management throughout the service industry of southwest Michigan, Elsea has a wonderful ability to form personal connections with clients and understand the importance of each small detail when planning an event. With a strong creative eye and an upbeat, dedicated personality, Elsea is excited to contribute to the success of each event with Treeline Associates through excellent communication, connection, and attention to detail.
Elsea currently resides near Battle Creek, Michigan and has an array of passions and interests, including the design and restoration of her historic home built in 1900. She loves orchestrating celebrations with friends, traveling and enjoying nature, spending quality time with her family and pets, and is always exploring ways to grow professionally, creatively, and personally.

She currently serves as the Executive Director of the Association of Corporate Counsel of Michigan (ACC MI), Membership Manager and Conference Assistant for the Travel and Tourism Research Association (TTRA), and has worked with association and event management for the Association of Fundraising Professionals of Greater Detroit and Govern for Impact. Nicole offers expertise in event management, association management, member relations and engagement, creative planning, and troubleshooting.
