Why are there so many ATF'S NOW ? Blame the Clean Air Act, all the different transmissions and corresponding fluids are a result of an effort to improve fuel economy and comply with the government regulations.Each new transmission configuration has its own fluid requirements.

One fluid cannot meet all specifications ! Be sure you know which ATF FLUID YOUR OEM RECOMMENDS for your vehicle & READ THE LABEL ON THE BOTTLE !

DO NOT MIX DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION FLUIDS AS ADDITIVES MAY NOT BE COMPATIBLE.

On December 1, 2016 API allowed the first sales of the new CK-4 & FA-4 HEAVY DUTY ENGINE OILS. CK-4 is backward compatible & available in 5W20,5W30, 10W30 & 15W40. FA-4 is designed for use in 2017 & newer engines and is not backward compatible. FA-4 is available in 5W20;5W30 & 10W30.
