Some conversations stay with you for the rest of your life.
Losing my nephew to a fentanyl overdose was something our family never imagined having to experience. I still remember sitting in that living room with my mom and my brother, listening to the coroner explain what they had found.
Three more pills in his pocket. Every single one laced with fentanyl.
Hearing how many families were experiencing the same tragedy made that moment even harder to process. Behind every overdose is a person, a family, and a future that will never be the same.
I'm sharing this because these conversations matter. We need to keep talking about the dangers of fentanyl, looking out for the people we love, and making sure more families understand the risks.
