Research shows that many women want to take a bigger leadership role but two things hold them back: confidence and connection. The Thread is aiming right at the heart of breaking that pattern for women in Wichita. Our mission is to develop the ambition in women to lead more and to lead better, starting with themselves.

This week we officially celebrate SIX YEARS in business and we are welcoming in ONE MORE COHORT before we shift our focus to serving alum.

Cohort 12 begins October 8th and we kick off with a celebration on September 29th. Enrollment closes September 25.

It's not UNCOMMON to look for external validation as a measuring stick for confidence, but it is A RISKY GAME to play because circumstances can always change. Emily Stevens says, "Confidence is an inside job. It grows when we align WHO we want to be with HOW we actually live."

This is the kind of work our cohort members get to wade through in The Thread. Because confidence is not a trait, rather, it's a muscle built through self-discovery, self-compassion, action and small victories. We believe that confidence is an important factor into growing into who we were made to be - at work and in life.

Loneliness isn’t just personal. It’s professional.

According to Gallup’s State of the Global Workplace 2024, one in five employees globally report feeling lonely. And yet, we still show up to lead, perform and produce. Connection is not a bonus. It is part of how we build confidence, capacity and sustainable leadership. 

Cohort 11 started rolling with orientation and their first workshop this week, and it already feels like the beginning of something really meaningful.
