🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Some businesses only show their Pride in June. Not us!

Most of our team of contractors are q***r all year so we celebrate every day! (The rest of our team are fierce allies and they celebrate too!)

"We have to do it because we can no longer stay invisible. We have to be visible. We should not be ashamed of who we are. We have to show the world that we are numerous." — Sylvia Rivera

Kansans are Uprising. At least, that was the theme for last week’s Networked conference hosted by Network Kansas, Kansas Health Foundation and Kansas Leadership Center, and organized by the incredible, incomparable Christina Long (pictured with the warrior hair and earrings—her words) of CML Collective and Create Campaign.

Liz connected with Kansans from across the state who are passionate about Upward Mobility, including some of her friends from her 2025 Leadership Kansas cohort!

She's glad to have had a lovely three-day weekend to rest and rejuvenate so that she can take the energy from the conference into her work this week and the rest of the year!

It’s Small Business Week, so it’s a great time to thank our clients, contractors, collaborators, and community partners who’ve helped us grow through the past five years!

We look forward to many more years of courageous leadership with you all!

She's a white woman with medium-length, light brown wavy hair, wearing glasses, dangly rainbowy earrings, and a black blouse with white pin stripes. Next to her head and shoulder is the Center of Daring logo (a 2D rainbowy dodecadehedron) and the words, "Center of Daring is offically a certified Woman-Owned Small Business!" Two U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) logos are near her shoulder. One says, "WOSB Certified" and the other says, "EDWOSB Certified".]

Thanks, lee originals!

Thanks, lee originals!

Back during the anti-trans bathroom and gender marker nonsense whipped up by Kansas legislators seemingly solely for cruelty points, izzy lee originals saw the work I was doing for my community and offered a free sticker for my business.

I just received it and a few others in the mail today!

izzy lee originals is selling these stickers individually or in sets! There are other state stickers available as well. Go check them out!

[Image is a photo of a small note typed on cardstock along with a handful of stickers, on my lap with lavender tissue paper behind them. The sticker at the bottom of the note card is a Kansas-shaped progress Pride flag that says, "We Belong Here". There's also a Pride flag sticker where each color is a different nature pic and a Magic 8 ball sticker that asks, "When will we have inclusive bathrooms?" and the ball answers, "Ask again later".

The note says, "Liz, Thank you for being committed to keeping your business safe for all of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Kansas, especially our Trans + POC siblings. I also admire the work you do at the Center of Daring. Thank you for being a strong community leader, + educating folks so we are safe + accepted. I've tossed in a few extra stickers for you, feel free to keep those for yourself of share them with others! Best, izzy lee originals]
