Many people focus on the building, specific amenities, or location.

While those factors do matter, the quality of life often comes down to different questions.

Consider asking:

• How are care plans reviewed and updated?

• What opportunities exist for social engagement and meaningful activities?

• How does staff communicate with families?

• What happens if care needs change over time?

• How does the community support resident choice and independence?
