Ever scratched your head over how to record a credit card refund in QuickBooks Online (QBO)? 💳🤔

Getting it right is crucial for keeping your books clean and accurate. Here is why you should always record those refunds properly:

✅ Prevents Fake Income: It ensures your reports don't accidentally inflate your sales or income figures.

✅ Lowers Expenses: It properly reduces the total balance of the specific expense account, keeping your data precise.

✅ Matches Your Balance: It reduces your overall credit card liability so that your books perfectly match your manual bank statement.

Don't let messy bookkeeping stress you out! If you need help getting your QBO records in order, Books by Wendy is here to support your business. Drop us a message or comment below to get started! 👇

📊 Let’s bust a myth: Bookkeeping is NOT just data entry.

If you think a bookkeeper just types numbers into a spreadsheet all day, you're missing the most exciting part of the story!
Data entry looks backward. True bookkeeping looks forward.

Think of it this way:
🚫 Data entry is just listing the ingredients you bought.

📈 Strategic bookkeeping** is knowing exactly how those ingredients impact your profit margins, tracking your inventory flow, and mapping out how to scale your business next month.

When you work with Books by Wendy, you aren't just getting someone to organize your receipts. You're getting a clear view of your business’s financial health, optimized workflows, and the peace of mind that comes with data you can actually use to grow.

Stop drowning in spreadsheets and start leveraging your numbers. 💼✨
