Can't end the day without recognizing , I want to recognize not only the sacrifices made by my own family but also the dedication of every first responder who steps up, day and night, in all kinds of conditions to keep our community safe. From rookies just starting their careers to seasoned veterans with stories only a brotherhood would understand, Morgan County has been blessed with some of the best. It is an honor to live among heroes.

Whether it’s a paid career, a volunteer department, police, sheriff, fire, ambulance, dispatch, or towing, these men and women know what it means to answer the call. We are honored to stand alongside so many brave individuals who show up in the worst circumstances—through storms, scorching heat, and long nights.

Thank you to each responder who works tirelessly for others' safety and well-being, giving up family time, sleep, and special moments to ensure someone is there to answer that 911 call. Today, and every day, we are grateful for you.
