Detail: Lamp base. Horsehair and white oak. Coming to .nyc this month for it's inaugural show during nyc design week, slash month, slash temporal-mouthfull. Lamp L3 has been in the works since probaby 1999, when my first studio was a block from Bowie to the North, on Lafayette St., and with a basement door hatch on Crosby just a few blocks north of where bddw would open a couple months after our move to Brooklyn, at that time, a borough very un-cool. Big Thanks to Mary and Otras Formas founder for the faith, support, and understanding, and real friend for being thisty, and being responsible for having met Alex in the first place, so many years ago on Crosby. True story.
