Watch BankIowa cut the ribbon!

09/23/2026

🎉 We’re excited to officially welcome BankIowa to the Amana Colonies! 🏦

They had quite the employee turnout at this morning’s ribbon-cutting, which was a great reflection of the support they have for one another. One employee even described the BankIowa team as “one big family” — and it certainly felt that way! ❤️

If you haven’t stopped in yet, consider swinging by to say hello and welcome them to the neighborhood! 👋

Another Project Completed! 🎉

You'd never know this used to be a Dollar General!

We loved seeing this project come full circle in Marengo! ICCD was proud to invest in this transformation through our Sign & Façade Grant Program, but the real story is the significant investment made by Schlabach Properties to bring this vision to life.

Our grants may help get the ball rolling, but it takes committed owners willing to invest in their properties and our communities to make projects like this happen. The results speak for themselves!

Had the privilege of touring the Grimm Family Farm poultry processing plant facility. Iowa Secretary of Agriculture, Mike Naig made the trip to tour the facility and listen to the hurdles many Iowa butchery businesses face.

Big thanks to Jason and Hannah Grimm for hosting our group and allowing us to see all the work that went into the building and the day-to-day operation!

Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig visited Grimm Family Farm near Williamsburg and toured the new poultry processing facility, which was supported by the Choose Iowa Butchery Innovation Grant Program. The Choose Iowa program is proud to be investing in, promoting and strengthening the local food system, including Iowa's small meat processors.

🎉 Congratulations to the City of Williamsburg on receiving its fourth Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) Catalyst Grant that will fund renovations to the Hlubek Dozart Law Office!

Iowa County Community Development was proud to fund this grant application and is excited to be part of another project that will strengthen Williamsburg and benefit all of Iowa County.

A huge congratulations to Garrett and Jessica for their vision and investment in this project. We can’t wait to see the finished transformation!

Projects like this don’t happen overnight. Countless hours of planning, collaboration, and hard work take place behind the scenes before construction ever begins. This is a great reminder that when communities, businesses, and local partners work together, incredible things can happen.
