The stone setting process requires patience, precision, and an expert eye.
Don Prax is our master artisan who details each and every single piece one by one.
He mounts the stones by hand, one at a time, polishes and adds the final “touches”

This is what makes Odissea so special, the hands behind the scenes. The craftsmanship they make, their precision, their love for what they create.

Consume consciously. What we are facing right now is a mass production epidemic, where people’s skills have Ben undervalued, under appreciated. Every minute counts as effort and this is why we proudly say, we grow consciously, slow, allowing the art to happen, allowing our craftsmen to still be able to create what they learnt from their previous generations.

Every piece is first sculpted in wax. Some pieces are entirley carved while others are prototypes from the master wax.

Carved, and shaped entirely by hand, one by one they are added onto the casting “tree” which goes into a cement tube that will be put into very hgih temperatures to melt the was away and inject the melting silver onto

A slow and delicate process where every tiny detail finds its place before turning into metal, shaping each design as the metal cools down.

The melting process takes place in a quite rustic setting. Nestled between bricks that hold extremely high temperatures, the metal melts just like lava. Shiny silver liquid morphing into a shapes and forms that create our pieces.

Taxco, is a Pueblo Mágico in the mountains just outside of Mexico City. It’s known for its rich silversmithing history dating back to the 1930s, when the American artist and designer William Spratling recognized the region’s silver resources and helped formalize silversmithing. Thanks to Spratling, Taxco’s legacy of craftsmanship has been passed down through generations.

Being able to create alongside artisans who still carry this techniques is one of the most meaningful parts of Odissea. Their dedication, skill, and years of knowledge are at the heart of every piece we make. Watching our brand grow hand in hand with these makers has been incredibly inspiring.

We’re excited to share a series of videos of a closer look into our production process and the people behind it. In times like these, understanding where things come from, how they’re made, and the impact of choosing small brands that work directly with artisans feels more important than ever.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Odissea from the very beginning. This journey would not be possible without our artisan family, Johnny, Don Prax, Don Jorge, and all the hands that help bring our vision to life.

A Grace gold ring was taken from our pop-up yesterday at 135 Wythe Ave between 1-2:30 PM

We’re aware of the incident and are looking through footage to understand what happened. I would really appreciate its return, no questions asked. This piece was just for display since it’s a ring I made for my mom and it has our family initials engraved on it.

If this was taken by mistake or you have any information, please DM us directly.

Please be mindful and respectful of small businesses and independent brands—every piece represents real work, craftsmanship, and livelihood.
