Due to the impending Nor-Easter Snow Storm that’s due to impact the Willimantic area, a Parking Ban has been issued for all Willimantic Roadways!

Friday 11pm- Monday 8am

It should be noted that during the last storm Officers knocked on several doors to warn residents that their vehicles would be towed. We gave advance notice of the snow ban and there were still a lot of vehicles on the roadway!

Due to the volume of snow that is expected and the limited resources that we have, we will not be able to give further notice! Please make arrangements to remove your vehicle from the roadway.

The new Parking Garage on Meadow Street is free to park, the municipal lot across the street from the Police Department is also free to park.

As Hurricane Henri makes its approach to our area, there’s a few things that we should consider:

We’ll most likely experience heavy winds and rainfall that could cause some flash flooding. Unfortunately, we may also experience power outages, which in the past have lasted for several days or longer. It’s imperative that you consider preparing and also having some kind of an emergency plan.

Additionally, in the interest of preserving your personal property and affects, such as patio furniture, flags, and other lawn/outside items, please consider strapping down or securing these things in a safe location.
