🧠 Do You Really Trust AI? (Let’s Measure It)

We often say we trust (or don't trust) Artificial Intelligence, but does our subconscious agree with our stated beliefs?

I built a Human Machine Interaction Lab to explore this question using a classic psychological tool: the Implicit Association Test (IAT).

🧪 What is this?
The IAT is a measure within social psychology designed to detect the strength of a person's automatic association between mental representations of objects (concepts) in memory.
In this experiment, you will sort words related to Humans and AI into categories of Trustworthy vs. Untrustworthy. By measuring your reaction times in milliseconds, we can calculate a "D-Score" that reveals implicit bias. If you are faster at sorting "AI + Trustworthy" than "Human + Trustworthy," you may have an implicit preference for trusting AI.

This is a live, interactive data experiment.
Anonymous: No PII (Personally Identifiable Information) is collected.
Transparent: You can view the aggregate research dashboard immediately after the test.
Open: You can download the entire dataset as a CSV directly from the app to analyze the trends yourself.

⚠️ A Note on Methodology
This tool is a "Scientific Demo" designed to showcase how React and Firebase can be used for behavioral research tools.
Browser Timing: Please note that browser-based reaction time measurements have inherent variance compared to strict laboratory hardware.
Educational Use: While the logic follows the Greenwald et al. (2003) scoring algorithm, treat these results as an educational insight rather than a clinical diagnosis.
