We still can’t believe we’re making this post. We still can’t believe we had to say goodbye.
Our beloved Carl, ChasinChicksWithCash, was laid to rest after battling chronic pain and, sadly, reaching a point where we had run out of options to keep him comfortable.
There are so many emotions right now, but we don’t want this post to be about anger or sadness. We want it to be about gratitude.
For two incredible years, I had the privilege of owning the sweetest, kindest, and most special horse I could have ever asked for. Carl put a smile on my face every single day. He made me want to become a better rider. He made me want to spend every spare minute in the barn. He reminded me why I fell in love with horses in the first place.
People say that if you’re lucky, you’ll have one horse in your lifetime who changes everything—a once-in-a-lifetime horse you’ll never replace. Carl was that horse for me, and I will forever be grateful that he was mine.
Rest easy, big guy. Chase all the mares your heart desires, buck as hard as you want, and drop it out whenever you please. Until we meet again, you’ll always have a piece of my heart. ❤️
