This land owner almost lost access to his tractors and cattle due to large rains that nearly washed away the only road in. Large drain pipes that allow water to pass under the road were clogged with grass mats and debris. The clogged pipes caused water to flow over the road washing away the backside and undermining the road.

We repaired the culverts and restored the washed away roadbed. Steeper more vulnerable areas were reinforced with geotechnical cloth and limestone riprap providing a strong slope and sharp appearance. More gental areas of the slope were armored with erosion cloth and seeded with seasonal grasses. Milled asphalt over the drive made for the finishing touch on the way out from this project.

Hey guys, we wanted to share this pond repair project with you. The pond dam failed due to a dilapidated galvanized pipe. Age and rust caused the dam to erode around the pipe. Over time and large rains the pipe and a portion of the dam were washed away.
We replaced the rusted out galvanized 12” pipe with a 24”HDPE pipe. To aid in the integrity, anti seep collars were bolted onto the pipe to prevent any water from traveling along the outside of the overflow pipe through the dam. The earth portion of the dam was backfilled in thin layers to ensure a strong dam that would outlast its predecessor. Separation fabric and riprap were installed around the pipe and outfall to prevent any erosion from run off.
We can safely say we left the pond dam stronger than it was built before. The pond is spring fed, so it was full within a couple days.
