Hello Trash For Troops Family! This is Megan typing instead of speaking to you on the phone 😁

It is with a heavy heart that I announce I am stepping out of the office and back into the classroom to educate our future leaders.

It has been a true pleasure getting to know most of you and I send my well wishes for your future endeavors.

"A Day Which Will Live in Infamy," Franklin D. Roosevelt


On the morning of December 7, 1941, at 7:55 am, 183 Imperial Japanese aircrafts attacked the United States Naval base at Pearl Harbor on Oahu, Hawaii. Within two hours, 18 U.S. warships had been sunk or damaged, 188 aircraft destroyed, and more than 2,403 service members and civilians were killed.

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is observed annually on December 7th to remember and Honor the brave warriors who woke up and had no idea the historical events that would take place that day.

This day of remembrance is a time for us all to reflect on those who lost their lives so we can live free today, commemorate the courage of all those who defended our Nation, and recommit ourselves to carry on their Legacies.

We ask that you take some time today to remember those who lost their lives on that infamous day.

Join us downtown today as we interact and thank our local Veterans for their service and sacrifice. Parade will start at 11am with festivities kicking off at Live Oak Pavilion around 11:30.

Step Up For Soldiers will have a tent setup with information on volunteering and giving back to our community.
