Wana is taken from my last name Wanaprastha that is given to me base on Hindu stage of life. I was born in Bali, Indonesia. Growing up i always have my interest set on photography. Everywhere i goes i always take a piece of my memories capture in my camera, Although where i came from camera is the luxury that rarely people have,For me, i was lucky because i was surrounded by photographer in my fa
mily, This one of the reason why i fall in love with photography. I start by following my cousin around just for him to gave me a chance to use his camera, i did pretty much everything, Start from holding his camera bag,carried the flash light until he trust me enough to be his second photographer, This was start when i was in high school back in 2006.
In 2011 i came to USA. If you don't believe in destiny you will believe when you meet my wife. I don't mean to brag but for her i put my life in Bali behind and start from the bottom in united states, because i know and i believe she is the reason that God create me in to this world to be with her in every memories that i capture in my life. So here i am standing in land of 1000 possibility with camera in my hand and my beautiful wife standing next to me. There is no more that i can ask from God but i believe there is a lot more i can give. From the bless that he give me, i only can hope that i can give back through my art. I want to show my appreciation through my camera, share a million smile through my picture. If you only give me chance to share my passion through your memories that i capture. People always says that you don't want to waste your money on photograph, but the question is : is it only photograph for you?? do you really can put price on art?? For me photograph is not only a capture that you put on piece of paper, for me photograph is a piece of your life that nicely put in a piece of art, i can assure you, you will find soul in every picture that i take, because you are a beautiful art that freeze in time that forever you will always cherish.
