🍂 🍁FALL UPDATE🍁🍂

Hi everyone! There are a lot of new things coming this fall and into the new year.

On the home front, beginning in October, I will be opening up the schedule for more in-home nail trimming appointments.

Weather permitting, we should still be doing our Nails for Tails event at Cecil County Animal Services through November.

As the weather starts to get crispy, check this page often for the uploaded blog content which will collectively be put together as a published book coming next spring.

After 20 years in the pet industry, I think it’s finally time to put everything that I have learned and helped other pet business owner achieve together in print.

Lastly, I wanted to mention another service that pet business owners often need but are all too embarrassed about asking for help with. EDITING!

Have you ever seen a business newsletter or social media ad and there are grammar mistakes, repetitive words, misspelling or the message itself just isn’t clear?

It happens more often than you’d think and it doesn’t mean someone is bad at running their business. When you’re juggling clients, employees, schedules, animals, phone calls, and everything else that comes with running a pet business, proofreading a Facebook post for the fifth time probably isn’t at the top of your list.

That’s where I help. Send me your social media posts, newsletters, website copy, client emails, policies, or other written material before you hit “publish,” and I’ll give it a second set of eyes.

I clean up grammar and spelling, catch awkward or repetitive wording, and make sure what you’re trying to say actually comes across the way you intended—while still keeping your voice.

I almost always take the high road, but I just couldn't with this one...

I got a very hate filled comment about my flyer being designed by AI.

So I ask you (rhetorically): Who prompted Chat gpt with what to say? What colors to design the flyer? What theme? Me! A human with nearly 20 years as a pet industry professional.

A human who is educated and understands the old school saying "work smarter, not harder"

My job is to utilize the technology that we all have, to help pet businesses survive and thrive.

To Kevin, who is what looks like a "freelancer" I do not deny that you may process a talent not many others have. Writing is a gift and a skill. I just wanted to formally welcome you to 2026 and say that while your opinion did nothing to hurt my feelings, I hope you and your band have a wonderful day!

Now, back to my regularly scheduled program of using years of experience and technology (OMG EVEN AI) to help you!

It’s “The Busy Season”.
The time of year every pet business owner dreds.

Dozens of calls a day begging to squeeze their dog in for a groom.

Your website crashing because it can’t calculate online overbooking.

Staff scheduling off because kids are out of school more days that they are in.

ACCT Philly is offering financial incentives funded by donors. The shelter is offering $200 to foster a dog, $150 to foster cats and kittens, and $750 to rescue partners for every large dog they take.

"That's how bad things are; we're literally paying people at this point to take animals," said ACCT Philly Executive Director Sarah Barnett.
