Our team had an inspiring and enriching experience hearing from some of Wilmington's most influential leaders about what we can expect in the new year and beyond. We feel incredibly fortunate to have access to such a wealth of knowledge and insight from those shaping the future of our community.

We were honored to hear from the CEO of Novant Health, the CEO of the Community Endowment, the Executive Director of the Northside Food Co-op—a transformative organization dedicated to addressing food equity and accessibility in underserved areas—a leader from the Chamber of Commerce, and the Chancellor of UNCW. What an incredible experience at the BCivic Summit, hosted by Denver Metro Chamber in celebration of their 10-year anniversary of making intentional impact!

Our founder had the honor of being the events morning Keynote to kick off the day .

A few weeks ago, we had the incredible opportunity to present at SHRM Inclusion, where we reintroduced the concept that Inclusion is an ecosystem—a set of interdependent parts working together to create a thriving environment. We also celebrated an exciting milestone as our founder hosted a book signing for Do Recruit, and we’re thrilled to share that we almost sold out of all copies!

During our presentation, we highlighted the Alphabet Audit, a signature framework and assessment tool we’ve been piloting since September 2022. Organizations across the country are using it to take a comprehensive approach to inclusion by examining how it shows up in daily interactions, decision-making, and opportunities for growth across all roles and levels.

The Alphabet Audit evaluates key areas like:
⏩ Accessibility: Are all employees able to fully participate?
⏩ Opportunity: Is there a fair and equitable path to growth?
⏩ Engagement: Are diverse perspectives driving innovation?

We also introduced NEXT, the evolution of inclusion—moving beyond metrics to create ecosystems that are Nurturing, Empowering, Expansive, and Transformative.

We know some believe DEI is dead, but we disagree. The old ways may no longer work as effectively, but the next way is about transformation—turning inclusion into a tangible, impactful reality where every voice is heard, valued, and empowered to thrive.
