This beautiful new family only has a few more days together before Dad returns to military duty overseas for eight more months. Mom is active duty as well, she understands, but the depth of the sacrifices that service members make never ceases to amaze me. That is one well loved little boy.

Thanks to Birth Without Fear for sharing our photo.

It was easily the most incredible moment of my life and I am so thankful we have it documented.

Being a photographer myself, having a birth photographer was so important to me. Having those moments preserved when memories start to fade is priceless.

And she's wearing a BWF necklace by Moon Over Maize! I almost missed that!

I'm just stopping by to announce that we welcomed our daughter into this world the morning of Friday, January 31st. She was born peacefully at home in the water, and we couldn't be more in love with her.

I'll be on maternity leave for a while, but will try to post the occasional photo as she grows!
