UCE is proud to be a member of the Delaware Arts Alliance Delaware Arts Alliance — and we want to bring someone from our community with us.

This October, DAA’s State of CREATE Celebration brings together creatives, educators, advocates, and industry leaders to connect and celebrate Delaware’s creative economy.

For the October 13 celebration at MKT Place Gallery MKT Place Gallery in 📍Wilmington, UCE is inviting one person from our network to join our Founder, Joshua Hollingsworth Joshua Hollingsworth, as our guest. As an active DAA board member, Joshua will offer an opportunity to experience the Alliance, meet members of Delaware’s creative community, and explore how DAA’s work connects to your own.

Whether you’re a creative, educator, entrepreneur, cultural worker, or simply interested in becoming more connected to Delaware’s creative ecosystem—we’d love to hear from you.

Interested in joining us?
Comment “CREATE” or send UCE a DM. We’ll select one guest to attend with us.

We encourage our entire network to check out one of the three State of CREATE celebrations happening across Delaware this October.

Let’s connect. Let’s create. Let’s explore what’s possible together.

For Shavonne, coffee is more than a drink—it’s a craft. ☕️🖤

Our final feature takes us inside Troisieme Café Troisiéme Cafe (pronounced TWAH~SEE~EM), where intention can be found in everything from the coffee they serve to the community they continue to build around it.

We sat down with co-owner Shavonne Shavonne to talk about the journey behind Troisieme, her passion for specialty coffee, and what it means to grow a Black-owned business right here in Wilmington.

If you’ve never experienced Troisieme, consider this your invitation. Come for the coffee, discover what makes this space special, and—most importantly—come back.

Because Wilmington Black Restaurant Week may introduce you to the business, but supporting them beyond the week is where the real impact happens.

☕️ Drink local. Discover specialty coffee. Support Black business.

For Serena’s Soulfood Catering LLC SerenassoulfoodLLC, Wilmington hasn’t just been home to the business—it’s been part of what continues to move it forward.

In our latest restaurant feature, Serena shares how the support of the Wilmington community has helped her grow and why participating in Wilmington Black Restaurant Week matters beyond just one week.

The exposure brings new faces to the table—but more importantly, some of those first-time customers become lasting customers.

That’s what this week is about: creating opportunities for people to discover Black-owned businesses, experience what they have to offer, and keep coming back long after Restaurant Week ends.

Glenny of Glenn’s Kitchen Glenn’s Kitchen 👩🏾‍🍳, bringing childhood memories to the table through food made to be shared.

For Glenny, catering is about more than preparing a meal. It’s about recreating the flavors we grew up with, the dishes that remind us of home, and the moments that bring families back around the table.

That’s the story behind Glenn’s Kitchen—and another culinary entrepreneur we’re proud to highlight during Wilmington Black Restaurant Week.

Because sometimes, the best memories start with what’s on the plate.
