Friday travel dump: Washington, D.C. this week. Denver next. ✈️
Julie Parker spent time with the U.S. Capitol Police, leading a one-day media training and a half-day crisis communications plan review. Between sessions, she also enjoyed some incredible food and D.C. views.
Next week, she’s headed to Denver for the 2026 3CMA Annual Conference.
Julie will open the conference with “Yellow Means Go: Leading Through Communication When Silence Isn’t an Option,” a keynote based on the central message of her upcoming book: Communication is leadership, and hesitation carries risk.
She’ll also lead the breakout session “Crisis Communications and Critical Incidents on Campus,” using real-world cases to help communicators strengthen their readiness, protect reliable communications channels, and maintain public trust during fast-moving emergencies.
From D.C. to Denver, the mission remains the same: helping communicators lead clearly when the stakes are high.
