Good morning to our extended family and friends here on Facebook!

Good evening Bayside Family and Friends,

As most of you are aware this weekend’s weather is forecasted to be extremely cold. Please keep that in mind with letting your pets outside. Dogs paws can freeze on extremely cold concrete and we never want to see our little furry friends hurt.

As far as our officers, we have made the decision to enact our cold weather protocol. This protocol is designed to limit our officers exposure to these extreme weather patterns we face from time to time. As of this moment, it is currently 18 degrees in the Newark area. Once you take the wind chill into consideration, it feels like 3 degrees.

Everyone please stay safe and warm tonight and throughout the rest of this weekend.
