Ready to Start or Expand Your Business? Launcher Entrepreneurship Program has the resources you need.

The Launcher Entrepreneurship Program is a program of West End Neighborhood House which offers great opportunities to build and expand your knowledge in small business ownership. Offered in the Spring and Fall, our session format includes classroom instruction, one-on-one sessions and graduation. Launcher works with community based organizations to provide training at various locations in Wilmington, Claymont and Dover and a Spanish speaking program in Wilmington. Throughout the program, we will cover topics including accounting, finance, the credit review process, marketing, operations, management and more. In addition to these topics, we will identify and develop skills like budgeting, cash management and we will help you research, write and confidently articulate a sound business plan. Our program, Plan It is an entrepreneur-training curriculum developed by Neighborhood Development Center in Saint Paul, MN. The Plan It curriculum was developed based upon over 20 years of experience training a very diverse group of aspiring adult entrepreneurs in low-income neighborhoods and communities in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. The curriculum is comprised of 11 classroom sessions, one-on-one sessions with the instructor and continuous consulting after graduation, and is intended to be completed over a 12-week time frame. As a part of our continuing commitment to small businesses and the community, Launcher in conjunction with the West End Neighborhood House and Cornerstone West CDC, intend to help in reducing barriers to small business success for residents in Delaware who want to learn the skills needed to start and operate their own small business. Launcher has been providing comprehensive entrepreneurial and small business training since 2017.

The Food Cohort is now $150, down from $400, and it starts this Tuesday, September 29.

Presented by Launcher and the Wilmington Kitchen Collective, this 8-week program is built for food trucks, caterers, restaurants, bakers, and home-based food businesses that are ready to grow. It covers the skills that actually keep a food business alive: bookkeeping, cash flow management, menu preparation and costing, and marketing. Every participant also gets 5 hours of private coaching with a food industry expert.

We are excited to start the Launcher Youth Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy Program, a FREE 13-week hands-on experience designed for youth ages 13–18 who are ready to learn, build, and think like entrepreneurs.

Six new business owners walked across the stage yesterday. 🎓

Congratulations to our Spring 2026 Launcher graduates at The Way Home in Georgetown: Jonathan Rodriguez, Shaieme Edwards, Daniel Cousins, Lawrence Horsey, Adrian Cain, and Corey Fells.

Each of them wrote a business plan, ran the numbers, and stood up in front of the room to pitch their vision. Those skills are theirs now, and nobody can take them back.

A special thank you to The Way Home team for partnering with us to bring entrepreneurship training to Sussex County, and to former graduate Donald Maull of Maully Maull's Lawn Service for showing everyone in that room what a second chance can grow into.
