** A NEW WUCA WORLD RECORD **

United States of America - Doug Chivington (65) set a new cross state record by riding across Michigan W-E, from Bronson Park in Muskegon MI to the Port Sanilac Marina, at Port Sanilac MI in the following categories: Solo, officiated, 60-69 age group, upright bike, non-fixed gear.

Doug did this record-setting ride on a Speigel Diablo. He started the ride on September 6, 2025 and ended 11 hours, 39 minutes later in the same day. The total distance was: 206.2 mi / 331.85 km.

“Nine miles from the finish in the last construction zone, a bridge was out and the detour suggested was on secondary roads that were dirt and gravel, not ideal for a road bike.”
