Check out our top 3 tips for pushing with an epidural ✨
🤍Getting an epidural does not mean you’ll be stuck pushing on your back. Side lying and upright positions work really well even when you don’t have much sensation and if you are able to move, use the back of the bed to support you in an all fours position. Try different positions until you find one that works for you!
🤍If you’re 10cm dilated, but still don’t feel pressure, give your body some time to get baby lower into the birth canal. This can greatly cut down on pushing time.
🤍The mirror can either be a hard no or a hard yes. Being able to get a visual of the progress when you push effectively can be a great motivator. Ask your support team about utilizing the birth bar or tug of war too!
