Bozho everyone! Our final Summer Play Group of the year is scheduled for next Thursday, August 27th from 1pm-3pm EST at the Hannahville Powwow Grounds. Within this play group, we’ll be discussing Simple & Fun Activities with Everyday Household Items. Families who attend will be sent home with free giveaways and educational information related to this topic. Lunch will also be provided to families who RSVP by Monday, August 24th by 4pm EST. RSVP for this play group by calling or texting Mandi or Shelby ☀️📲

As a reminder, our Summer Play Groups are open to any family within the community with children between the ages of 0-3. Older children are welcome to accompany their parent/guardian who have other children between the ages of 0-3 👶🏽👧🏻👦🏾🧑‍🧑‍🧒

MULTIPLE OVERNIGHT OVERDOSES, DEATH RELATED TO LOCAL CO***NE PURCHASES

MENOMINEE, MI – Sheriff Darrin Kudwa reports that co***ne use has resulted in at least four overdoses and one death in Marinette and Menominee Counties since last night.

While individuals have been detained in reference to this investigation, Sheriff Kudwa cautions that more of the tainted drug may have been distributed locally.

A joint investigation comprised of multiple Michigan- and Wisconsin-based agencies is ongoing.

Anyone with information related to these incidents are asked to contact the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office via phone at 906-863-4441. Tips can also be submitted anonymously via the Crime Stoppers of Marinette and Menominee County website or the P3 Tips app.

Bozho everyone! Tomorrow, July 23, we will be hosting a Summer Play Group from 2pm-3:30pm EST at the Hannahville Powwow Grounds. The theme of this play group will be Food Safety. Tonya LaFave, Hannahville’s Registered Dietitian, will be joining us to share education surrounding food safety. We will also be honoring the theme of food safety by enjoying smoothies. Everyone will go home with a food safety themed giveaway, and one lucky person will go home with a special door prize 🌟

As a reminder, our Summer Play Groups are open to any family within the community with children between the ages of 0-3. But older children are welcome to accompany their parent/guardian and younger sibling(s)

Aanii everyone! We previously planned to have a Summer Play Group tomorrow, Tuesday, July 14, but the heat index for tomorrow is predicted to be nearly 100 degrees. Therefore we’ve decided to reschedule our play group for this upcoming Thursday, July 16 from 2pm-3:30pm at the Hannahville Powwow Grounds. The theme for the play group on July 16th will be Sun Safety. Snacks, educational information, and free giveaways will be provided. Our Summer Play Groups are open to any family within the community with children between the ages of 0-3. Parents/caregivers are welcome to bring their older children to accompany their younger siblings who are between the ages of 0-3.
