A backyard barn in Eastern North Carolina is where the Evans Machinery story began.

In 1979, three brothers with hearts full of ambition and humility launched a small business fabricating BBQ chicken grills, pig cookers, and taking on odd metal jobs.

What started in that backyard barn grew through hard work, ingenuity, strong relationships, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.

47 years later, Evans Machinery continues to build on the foundation those three brothers started; providing innovative equipment, custom fabrication, and solutions for customers here at home and around the world.

From a backyard barn to a global reach, we’re proud of where we came from, and excited about where we’re going.

Evans Machinery was honored to attend the 137th Opening of the Wilson To***co Market at the American To***co Exchange in Wilson.

With Evans Machinery’s rich history in the to***co industry, this event holds special meaning for us. For generations, to***co and agriculture have played an important role in shaping Eastern North Carolina, and we are proud to have been a part of that history while continuing to serve an industry that has meant so much to our region.

This year’s celebration was even more meaningful as our nation celebrates 250 years of American history and independence. The event also included a special NC To***co Hall of Fame recognition honoring the late Governor James B. “Jim” Hunt Jr., with the honor accepted on his behalf by his daughter, Lt. Governor Rachel Hunt.

Representing Evans Machinery were Amanda Barnes, CFO/Owner; Charles Formisani, CEO/COO; Stevie Barnes, Inside Salesman; and Nathan Kiger, Project/Sales Engineer.

We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate 137 years of tradition, 250 years of America, and the people and agricultural heritage that have helped shape our community, our industry, and our state.

⚾️ What a great night with our Evans Machinery family! 🎆

Last night we had the opportunity to enjoy an incredible evening together at the Wilson Warbirds baseball game, and it couldn’t have been better! The food was amazing, the game was a lot of fun, the fireworks were the perfect ending to the night, and,most importantly, the fellowship with our Evans family made it truly special.

A huge thank you to the Wilson Warbirds for being such wonderful hosts and making it a memorable experience for all of us. We also want to extend our sincere appreciation to Amanda, Ray, and CharlesandMeghan Formisani for organizing such a fantastic employee appreciation night. Your thoughtfulness and hard work are truly appreciated!

We are incredibly thankful to work for a company that values and appreciates its employees, not just for the work we do, but by creating opportunities to spend time together outside of work. Nights like these remind us that Evans Machinery is more than just a workplace, it’s a family.

Every project has its own unique challenges This is where our team shines.

This custom structural I-beam support frame, built for Suwannee Valley Feeds, LLC in Trenton, FL, was designed to support our equipment while working around one very important requirement: keeping the customer’s large vehicle entrance fully functional.

📏 28.5 feet long
📏 25 feet tall

With limited space to work with, our engineering and fabrication teams designed a solution that provides the strength needed without disrupting the customer’s daily operations.

Before shipping, the entire frame was fabricated and test-fit in our shop to ensure everything aligned perfectly, allowing us to identify and resolve any fitment issues before it ever reached the job site. Next stop: galvanizing for long-lasting corrosion protection before heading to Florida for installation.

A huge shoutout to everyone who helped bring this project together and for the outstanding craftsmanship and attention to detail that make projects like this possible.
