November 7th and Bermuda still holding color with this 80 degree weather….even with 2 good frost nights. Mowing season has been extended a few weeks and some regrowth noticed.

The colder weather will come so enjoy the green lawns a little longer.

Nature can be fascinating sometimes!

Tiger stripes usually follow the first frost in some Bermuda turf and is a natural occurrence. It’s caused by the difference in frost accumulation and ground temperatures at the turf level.

How much does environmental factors, soil health, watering play a part in good turf?

These two pictures are only separated by the width of a sidewalk.

The good section tends to hold water longer and is less compacted. The bad section dries out fast, has some tree root issues. and gets compacted during summer heat.
