🤍 PRAY FOR BEND, OREGON. 🤍

Our hearts are absolutely broken over the tragedy at Silver Rail Elementary School.

Today, we’re holding the children, families, teachers, first responders, and entire Bend community in our thoughts and prayers.

No family should ever have to experience this kind of heartbreak, and no child should ever feel unsafe at school.

From our Cool Temp family to yours, we’re sending love, strength, and prayers to everyone affected.

We stand with Bend. 🤍

🦈🧊 SHARK TEETH BELONG IN THE OCEAN… NOT IN YOUR ICE MACHINE! ❄️

Take a closer look at your ice. 👀

Are your cubes coming out thin, jagged, hollow, or looking more like shark teeth than actual ice cubes? 🦈

Your ice machine might be trying to tell you something!

Unusual ice shapes can be an early warning sign that your equipment isn’t operating as it should.

🧊 What could be causing it?
💧 Restricted water flow or low water pressure
🔧 Water distribution issues
❄️ Scale buildup on the evaporator
🌡️ Freezing cycle or temperature problems
⚠️ Components that need adjustment or service

Not every unusual ice shape means something is broken, but a change from your machine’s normal ice pattern is worth investigating.

Regular ice machine cleaning and preventive maintenance can help improve ice quality, maintain production, and catch small issues before they become expensive breakdowns.

Because when your ice starts looking like it could bite back, it’s time to call Chilly! 😂🦈❄️

Don’t wait until your ice machine stops producing altogether!

❄️🔧 SOME THINGS ARE BETTER VINTAGE… YOUR REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT ISN’T ONE OF THEM. 😂

Classic cars? Cool. 🚘
Vintage furniture? Cool. 🪑
Refrigeration equipment that looks like it belongs in a museum? NOT SO COOL. 🥶

We appreciate equipment that’s stood the test of time, but even the toughest old units eventually need some serious TLC.

Aging refrigeration equipment can mean:
⚡ Higher energy costs
🔧 More frequent breakdowns
🌡️ Inconsistent temperatures
💸 Expensive emergency repairs
⏳ Harder-to-find replacement parts

Sometimes a repair is all it takes. Other times, it’s worth having a conversation about replacement before that old unit decides to retire on its own. 😅

Chilly loves keeping things cold, but he’s not a fan of refrigeration dinosaurs! 🦖❄️

If your equipment has seen better decades, give us a call!

❄️☀️ COOL MORNINGS. WARM AFTERNOONS. YOUR EQUIPMENT FEELS IT TOO!

Fall in Oregon can have your building needing heat first thing in the morning and cooling by the afternoon. Those big temperature swings can make your HVAC system work overtime as it switches between heating and cooling throughout the day.

And it’s not just HVAC. Changing indoor temperatures can also affect how hard your refrigeration and other commercial equipment has to work to maintain consistent temperatures.

This time of year is a great reminder to pay attention to:

🔧 HVAC systems frequently switching between heating & cooling
❄️ Refrigeration working harder to maintain temperature
🌡️ Inconsistent building or equipment temperatures
⚠️ Small issues that can turn into breakdowns when equipment is working harder
📋 Filters, coils, thermostats and preventive maintenance

Cool morning or warm afternoon, Chilly’s crew is here to help keep your business running. 😎❄️

🍂❄️ HELLO, OCTOBER! 🔧🎃

New month, same mission: keeping businesses running.

While the weather may be cooling down, Chilly and the Cool Temp crew are still hard at work keeping the cool stuff cold, the hot stuff hot, and your equipment doing what it’s supposed to do. 😎

October is a great time to:

🔧 Stay ahead of equipment repairs
❄️ Check refrigeration before the busy season
🌡️ Get commercial HVAC ready for cooler weather
📋 Schedule preventive maintenance
🍽️ Keep your kitchen equipment running strong

Fall is busy enough without an unexpected breakdown. Let Chilly worry about the equipment—you worry about your business. 🍁

Here’s to a great October! 🙌
