Moving doesn't have to feel like controlled chaos.
The difference between a smooth move and a stressful one usually comes down to one thing: when you started.
Here is the timeline we give our own clients before move day:
4 weeks out: Stop packing and start sorting. Everything in your home gets looked at before a single box is taped. Keep, donate, let go. What you don't sort now gets moved into your new home and becomes someone else's problem to deal with later. Get ahead of it.
2 weeks out: Start packing anything you aren't actively using. Seasonal items, extra linens, books, decor, backup kitchen supplies. Label every box by room and contents, not just "kitchen stuff." Specifics save time on the other end.
Moving week: Pack daily essentials last. Then, build yourself an essentials box (toiletries, a change of clothes, phone charger, medications, snacks, and anything you will need the first night). Keep it with you, not the rest of your boxes.
If this sounds like a lot to manage on top of everything else a move requires, that's exactly what our pack-out and pack-in services are for.
We handle the sorting, the packing, the labeling, and the setup on the other end so you can focus on everything else that comes with a move!
