A couple from and hands too!
As a henna artist it’s always a challenge for me to go into someone else’s booth and do their designs. I always feel slower than I do with my own designs, I feel more perfectionist and less sure of myself. In my own booth I know the designs, I know the rhythm of how the booth works, I know exactly where everything is. Working in someone’s else’s booth is a fun challenge, but also gives me anxiety.
It’s like taking a shower at someone else’s house: in the end you get just as clean but finding towels, soap, shampoo, different faucet temperatures and what to do with dirty clothes afterwards all make the experience very different from home. And discombobulating. (This whole post may have been just so I could use that word… 🤪🥴🤪)
Thankfully both the artists and at are encouraging and want me to put my own spin on their classic booth designs. Yay for patience and encouragement!

You may notice I’m only at Ravenwood on Fridays. My booth is there all weekend, so you can still get the best henna around, but instead of me in the brown/green/gold henna tent, you’ll find either Henna Trails or Kat . They’re amazing!
