I need to put a explanation out here of my absence.
A few months back we started noticing natural carbonation in some of our bottles.
To not take chances with the public we pulled all bottles back from various locations including Luray Caverns and Michie Tavern who was taking on our cyder.
It was disappointing enough to take direct control over my product and look at moving the bottling closer to my home here in Rappahannock County.
I am looking at several locations, my favorite site is a early cider house next door to the Cooper Fox whisky distillery and across from a micro brewery Pen Druid, Sperryville, Virginia
Time will tell if this location opens up to create a full tasting room inside walls that once squeezed out a traditional cider.
Apple trees have already been been planted to secure the future of Solomon Cyder.
Stay tune..... Timothy Dean Robinson

Update. I had previous commitments to customers in my antique log cabin business before Solomon Cyder came along.
I went down to Fancy Gap, Virginia to stack my next to last cabin.
I am back serving to my original location at Cedar Creek Battlefield in Middletown.
Be there at Matt's Barbecue tomorrow serving by keg or bottle.
Then near the big tent on the Hallowed Ground of Cedar Creek.
Please come by and see me.

By preserving the Heater House at Belle Grove, we are preserving an important part of Virginian and American history. A portion of every sale of Solomon Cyder goes toward the preservation effort.

Citizens vote on the secession ordinance in 1861. Many residents of Frederick county and Middletown showed that their Unionism was conditional; they now believed they owed their allegiance to the Commonwealth.

While the Valley would be majority pro-Confederate, there will be many Unionist and Pacifists in the Valley. Divided loyalties were common in families.

Caroline Heater of Middletown warned her husband Solomon that if secession passed “we shall have graveyards at every door. My husband and I had some discussion in regard to the merits of the war at the beginning. He was a Virginian, and perhaps his sympathies were more for Virginia that for the North but he never voted for the ordinance of secession. I was not a Virginian and opposed to secession.”
