Today, we recognize both Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples’ Day; two observances that invite us to reflect on our nation’s history, the people who shaped it, and the many perspectives that are part of the American story.

Columbus Day reminds us of an era of exploration and the historical events that influenced the world we know today. Indigenous Peoples’ Day honors the rich cultures, lasting contributions, and resilience of Native American communities whose histories extend long before that era.

While these observances carry different meanings, both offer an opportunity to learn from the past, appreciate the complexity of our shared history, and approach one another with understanding and respect.

History is not just about where we have been. It is also about what we learn, how we grow, and the future we choose to build together.

Apparently, Dilly heard it was National Cheeseburger Day and immediately cleared his schedule. 🍔

Court searches? Important.
Quality research? Absolutely.
Passing up a cheeseburger? Let’s not get unreasonable.

Today, Dilly is trading case numbers for extra cheese and proving that even the hardest-working donkey deserves a lunch break... or two. 😉

Here’s to good food, good people, and burgers stacked almost as high as our standards.

A Name Is Never Just a Name

At iProtect Screening, our work reminds us every day that behind every name is a person, a life filled with family, purpose, dreams, and people who love them.

No matter who we are, where we come from, or where life has taken us, those of us who lived through that morning remember where we were when the towers were hit. We remember the disbelief, the silence, and the instinctive need to reach for the people we loved just to hear their voices. For one unforgettable moment, the differences between us disappeared, and we were simply Americans grieving together.

On September 11, we pause to remember the nearly 3,000 lives taken far too soon. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger, the courageous individuals who helped strangers, the families who carried unimaginable loss, and the generations forever changed by that day.

We also remember what followed: a nation standing together not as strangers divided by our differences, but as neighbors united by our humanity.

May we never forget the lives behind the names.

May we never take courage, service, or sacrifice for granted.

And may we continue to protect and care for one another with the same spirit of unity America showed in its darkest hour.

🍷🧀 Happy National W**e & Cheese Day! 🧀🍷

Some people spend today debating the perfect w**e and cheese pairing.

Dilly spent it pairing courthouse records with cheese. Yeah, we have questions, too.

While Dilly is busy sampling the brie and "researching" another glass of w**e, our team is doing the less glamorous work, digging through public records, verifying information, and tracking down details that don't always make themselves easy to find.

The truth is, good background screening has a lot in common with a great w**e and cheese board. It takes the right ingredients, a little expertise, and attention to the details that most people overlook... in a great glass of w**e or delicious cheese board.

Thankfully, Dilly handles the cheese tasting. We handle the research.
