This story, about Mike Parker who recently passed away, was in the Portland Press Herald today. Mike, who lived in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, was instrumental in the creation of over 1000 type faces including Helvetica.

He helped to shepherd the development of typography from hot metal to digital.
