Your garage floor is the biggest surface in your house that nobody ever thinks about.
It's bare concrete. It's stained from oil, brake fluid, and whatever leaked out of the mower last summer. It's dusting β that fine gray powder that ends up on your tools, your shoes, and tracked into the kitchen. It's cracked in a couple of spots because concrete moves. And here in coastal Carolina, salt air and humidity are working on it every single day, even when the door is shut.
Here's what most people don't realize: raw concrete is a sponge. It's porous. Every drop of oil, every spill, every bit of moisture soaks straight in and stays there. You can't clean it because there's nothing to clean β the stain is inside the slab, not on top of it.
A professionally installed epoxy floor changes that permanently.
It seals the concrete. Nothing soaks in anymore. Oil, gas, brake fluid, antifreeze, paint, pool chemicals, salt β it sits on the surface and wipes up with a rag. No more permanent stains.
The dusting stops. That gray powder is your slab slowly breaking down. Coat it and it's gone for good. Cleaner garage, cleaner tools, cleaner house.
It handles the coast. Humidity, salt air, and moisture coming up through the slab are what destroy floors around here. Done right, with proper moisture testing and a v***r barrier where it's needed, your floor is built for this climate β not for a garage in Arizona.
It's tough. We're talking dropped wrenches, jack stands, floor jacks, hot tires, a boat trailer, a truck parked on it every night. Grinding the surface first is what makes it bond β the coating becomes part of the slab instead of a layer sitting on top waiting to peel.
It's brighter and safer. A finished floor reflects light. Your garage goes from a dim cave to a space you can actually see in. And we can add texture to the topcoat so it's not slick when it's wet β which matters more than people think when you're carrying groceries in during a Carolina downpour.
It's easy to clean. Broom, blower, hose, or a mop. That's it. No degreaser, no scrubbing, no pressure washer.
It adds real value. A clean, finished garage is one of the first things a buyer walks through. It reads as a house that's been taken care of. Same goes for a coated patio or pool deck β it changes how the whole outside of your home feels.
And it just looks incredible. This isn't gray paint. We install full-broadcast flake systems in blends like Coyote, Shoreline, Cabin Fever, Glacier Gray, Taupe, Orbit, and Tidal Wave, plus custom metallic finishes that look like poured stone. You pick the color. We build it to match your house.
Now β a word about the kits.
The $150 bucket from the big box store is not the same product. Those kits are water-based, they're thin, and they tell you to acid etch instead of grind. Acid etching doesn't open the concrete enough for a real bond. That's why those floors peel up with the tires the first hot summer day β it's called hot tire pickup, and it's the number one reason people call us to come fix a DIY job. Stripping a failed coating costs more than doing it right the first time.
We grind every floor with a diamond grinder. We fill the cracks and patch the chips. We test for moisture. We install commercial-grade product with a real topcoat. Most garages are done in a day or two, and you're parking on it shortly after.
We're not just garages, either. We do basements, patios, pool decks, sunrooms, workshops, commercial kitchens, warehouses, factory floors, concrete polishing, and roof coatings and leak proofing β roof work is a specialty of ours.
If your concrete has been on the to-do list for two years, this is your sign. Estimates are free and we'll walk you through the colors right there in the driveway.
