WI Action Alert! See previous post from a moment ago. Below is what I shared with our WI State Senator to ask for their support and vote to confirm Tyler Huebner for Public Service Commissioner.

"Senator Feyen,

We have a small family business in Winneconne that operates in the energy industry. We’ve just learned that the WI Senate is to vote at any moment on the confirmation of Tyler Huebner for the PSC Commissioner post he was nominated for 4 years ago. He’s been serving in this role pending this vote, and I’m asking you to support his confirmation, and to enlist the support of all WI State Senators to do the same. He has an electrical engineering background (as do I), which provides him the unique expertise among the commissioners to help make smart decisions on WI’s energy systems. He has the support of 4 of the 5 investor owned utilities that serve WI, so there should be no hesitation to confirm him for this position. He’s also served as the Board President of the Organization of MISO States, ensuring that WI ratepayers benefit from improved energy infrastructure.

Again, I’m asking for you to vote in support of Tyler Huebner’s confirmation for the PSC Commissioner post, and to enlist all WI State Senators to do the same. WI needs his expertise and level headed approach to the energy challenges that WI faces.

WI ACTION ALERT! WI Senate has an impending vote on the confirmation of Tyler Huebner for Commissioner on the WI Public Service Commission(PSC). The Commission is your representation regarding utilities, and their Mission is to ensure safe, reliable, affordable, and environmentally responsible utility services and equitable access to telecommunications and broadband services.

Tyler was nominated 4 years ago and has been acting in this role awaiting a confirmation vote. In absence of getting a confirmation, he would be removed from his role on the PSC. With PSC Chairperson Valcq's recent resignation, Tyler's removal would be both a great loss for all WI ratepayers, and result in a Commission that cannot take action due to 2 of the 3 Commissioner positions being vacant!

Please contact your WI State Senator as immediately as possible today to ask for their support and vote to confirm Tyler, and to get them to enlist all WI State Senators to do the same. This is a 10.5 kW system comprised of 35 LG 300W modules. SMA 3.8kW and 7.7 kW inverters. The system was installed in April 2018. A Tesla car charger is also installed. We went solar to fully offset our electricity usage and because we thought it was a sound financial decision.

You always see the front of a solar electric system. Let me show you what goes on in the back.

Wire management is a critical part of your system. There should not be any hanging or dangling wires. For roof mount, there should not be any wires touching the roof. You want to prevent any curious critter looking for something to munch on. You also do not want any icicle buildup tugging on the wires. They should be dressed of neatly as shown.

Neenah, WI - 5.6kW system. 15 LG 375W Neon R ACe modules. This is our fist install using the newer AC modules. Installation does not need a separate inverter to convert the energy over from DC to AC.

Larsen, WI addition - 6.03 kW system, 18 LG 335W with 6 Simplifi 48v battery’s for 3.8kWh rated capacity. This was added to existing system of 12.06kW, 36 LG335W with 12 Simplifi 48v battery’s for 45kWh rated capacity.

The addition is located on the right roofline below the tower.

Due to unexpected high demand, Focus on Energy had to reduce their incentives for residential solar electric systems. Incentives are now $200/kW maximum of $1000. Rural incentive is still in place with a $500 bonus. They have allocated additional funds this week due to running out. This may not happen again. Get your installation in now with us! We are conducting business as usual, taking every precautionary measure to keep you, our staff and crew safe and healthy!
