In this ongoing retirement process - I am cleaning out freezers and customer animals with no deposits or personal animals that I no longer need and they are being disposed of.

I am trying to locate a customer named Larry Clark that dropped off 2 bear in 2013 or 2014. He & his son gave me the hides and asked that I just return the skulls. I had no immediate use for the bear, so I put the hides in my freezer and they have been there for the last 10+ years. I want to make a good faith effort to find out if he still wants the skulls before I dispose of the hides.

I cannot find any contact info for Larry Clark in my records - phone address, nothing. If you know Mr. Clark (I do not know the son's name) - please pass along his phone # to me or ask that he calls me before I disconnect the landline.

While you were busy celebrating your freedom on the 4th of July, some of WI legislators decided it was the perfect time to introduce new measures to restrict your freedom. 3 new gun control laws have been introduced in Madison - the gun confiscation "red flag" law, a mandatory background check law and a proposal to make gun safes & trigger locks exempt from state sales tax.
Their ideas would do nothing to curb violent people who have guns, but it would keep you from loaning a buddy a gun, selling him a gun, giving a gun to a family member.... unless you pay for a background check each and EVERY time.
It would also allow the very unconstitutional practice of "red flag" gun confiscation - BEFORE you are charged with a crime or even allowed to confront your accuser. You need to prove you are innocent and not a 'danger" and pay an attorney to get your property back. And there are no penalties for anyone calling in a bogus "red flag" on you.

All the gamefish from 2022 are finished, including scene mounts. I will post some pictures soon.
The sturgeon from 2020 are now being prepped for paint. While I get them ready, all the forms & supplies for the deer and mammals will be ordered & I will be putting them together thru the winter.

I will remain open by appointment only & will continue to only accept work from previous clients. I ask you to freeze anything you might want to bring in until after April 1 so that I can focus on completing the work I have.
And I will not accept any sturgeon over 50 inches for a composite mount from now on. lake sturgeon replicas are available up to 73" and 125 #.
Be safe this winter and I will contact you when your mount is completed. Thanks.

Thank you for all your business over the years. I will continue to take in some work from my previous clients, so call if you need me. I have truly enjoyed the people I have met over the years and being able to support my family doing something I love. Thank you all for the privilege of preserving your trophies.

One more big sturgeon to mount. This is #7 of 8 that came in in 2022. Most people have no idea what's involved in putting one of these big fish together. This will give you an idea of what it takes.

I left out the original skinning & the fleshing of the skin & the sewing of any holes in the skin (and there are ALWAYS holes from the spear). Once that's done, the skin is washed, degreased & placed in a tanning solution. Before it gets to the point of assembly you see in the photos, I have to make all the heads and fin sets - all from molds I have made myself. Most of the heads are plastic but I still have some good plaster molds used for latex rubber heads. The mouth inserts are also made from my own custom molds.
