GeoSpatial Services SMUMN

GeoSpatial Services SMUMN An Integration of Academic Apprenticeship and Professional Services.

GeoSpatial Services is an innovative group of environmental scientists, geographers, spatial analysts, graduate and undergraduate students. As a project center within Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, with offices in Winona and Minneapolis, MN, we work with both public and private sector partners across a broad assortment of markets and disciplines. Operating within a higher education organiza

tion allows us to engage the academic communities’ knowledge base and skills in serving our customers. Our permanent staff is up-to-date in both the theory and techniques of geospatial and location analyses, along with components of contemporary mapping and GIS data development focused on natural resource management. As part of the University, we also have the privilege of providing valuable training on GIS and natural resource analysis skills to graduate and undergraduate students. This teaching occurs through direct, on-the-job learning though paid student technician positions and internships.
