What a joy it was meeting so many engaged couples at the With This Ring Wedding Event! For those just discovering me, I’m Heidi, and I’m a seasoned wedding officiant and premarital counselor serving couples throughout the Winston-Salem area and beyond.

I love creating personalized ceremonies that tell your unique story - whether you’re planning an intimate gathering or large wedding.

Beyond the ceremony itself, I offer premarital counseling through my Building Blocks program, supporting couples as they prepare for marriage while strengthening their foundation. What couples tell me they value most is having a calm, steady presence - both in our conversations and on their wedding day.

Celebrating Katie and Robby's happiest day! Their special moment was shared with family, close friends, and fellow Penn State alumni, creating unforgettable memories.

One highlight was when their mutual friend and groomsman, Ben, reminisced about introducing them. Their friendship blossomed into something incredible. During the ceremony, we honored Ben for sparking it all. 🩷

Sometimes, love just can’t wait! ❤️💍
Ruth called me Friday afternoon, determined to finally marry her beloved Michelle after a couple tries. “What do we need to do to make this happen?” she asked.

I reassured her, “Third time’s the charm!” and gave her the simple steps:
✔ Apply for a marriage license
✔ Bring two witnesses
✔ Have a brief but beautiful ceremony

One hour later, she texted me a photo of their license: “We’re ready when you are!” 🙌

On Sunday morning, we met at the Old Salem Covered Bridge—a stunning spot for an intimate wedding. 🌿💒

Ruth & Michelle, new to town, asked their realtor to be a witness, and my husband stepped in as the second witness (and wedding photographer!).

☕ To make the moment even sweeter, Ruth brought Starbucks coffee for everyone. With warm drinks in hand, they exchanged vows, and I had the joy of officiating their heartfelt “I do’s.”
