Yesterday was my birthday ❤️
I spent Saturday being spoiled by my bestie , and supporting local small businesses.

My morning started off right, with coffee from none other than .

Our first stop was . We got books, fresh produce, and plant babies. I also ran into the lovely .withangeli.wsnc, which is always a pleasure.

Next we ventured to the where we loaded up with lots of goodies.

Then, it was on to where I fell in absolute love with a pink fur jacket (I didn’t get it thooo 🥲)

Lunch at was amazing.

Popped into to catch up with my fave’s.

for a cute button and girl talk.

Finally, where we stumbled upon (and took home) a vintage coffee cup (it was the only cup in the whole place) that said KIM, and also had my birthdate!!

Yesterday I treated myself to a trip, and found 2 cute heart shaped mugs.

got my flowers, a card, and a muffin.

My 15 yr old got my flowers, a single origin dark chocolate bar, and an oracle deck!!

My mom made me dinner, and got me a cake from .

*Weird fact about me- my favorite bday combo is chocolate cake, white icing, paired with Neapolitan ice cream, and plain chips. It’s the perfect combo of textures and flavors.

Today, my sister () came home from work and surprised me with the pink fur jacket from 😭🥹 I legit cried.

I’m so incredibly grateful for another year, for new opportunities, growth, empowerment, love, support, and friendship. Thank you guys for being a part of my journey ❤️

Sometimes you think you’re heading in one direction in life and then you realize halfway through, maybe that isn’t actually your path after all. That’s where I’m at right now. This year has been really hard. I’m freshly out of an 11 year relationship. I’m raising three kids, living with my sister, no car, no “real” job, just vending machines and reselling. I’m basically just raw do***ng life at this point. Some days are a huge mental struggle. Idk how I’m doing it, but I just keep pushing. Survival mode is all I’ve ever known. And it’s not just about the last 11 years. For most of my life I’ve been trying to build things with/for other people, never focusing on building up myself, or finding me. Now, for the first time in my life I’m on my own, but I’m also not, because I have three little humans relying completely on me. So now I’m in this weird place of having to pause, step back, and figure my life out at the exact same time that everything feels urgent and crucial. I don’t get breaks. I don’t get quiet. There’s no alone time to “go find myself.” Sometimes I make impulsive decisions because I’m overwhelmed. Sometimes I just shut down and don’t do anything at all. Other days I move mountains to make up for the days when my mental health knocks me on my ass. I am rebuilding from nothing.. from the ground up, and that’s terrifying and exhausting, and also something I know I have to do. I wanted something new, that was mine. 4508 is very close to my heart and it represents a lot of what I want, simple, slow living, homesteading, homeschooling, baking, crafting with my kids, stability and peace. But I also realized it boxed me in creatively. I’m not just one thing. I’m also funny, sarcastic, nostalgic, and weird, and I want space for all of that too. I’ve been trying to figure out how to mesh everything together without feeling confused or trapped in one lane. I want to create something that has room for all the parts of me. So yeah, I’m reevaluating. Still changing the business and the name, just figuring things out as I go. I’m tired, I struggle, I question myself, but I’m still going. I’ll get there eventually. It’s taking me a little time, and that’s ok.
