There is something so special about watching a young girl discover who she is.

One of my greatest passions is helping pre-teen and teenage girls develop into young women who are confident, secure, polished, articulate, and comfortable in their own skin.

I want our girls to know that they don’t have to shrink themselves to fit in.

They can walk into a room knowing their worth.
They can speak with confidence.
They can communicate with grace.
They can take pride in their appearance.
They can set boundaries.
They can discover their gifts and abilities.
And most importantly, they can learn to believe in themselves.

This is why I created Black & Dainty Girls.

Our goal is not simply to teach etiquette. We are helping girls develop their confidence, character, communication, personal presentation, leadership skills, self-awareness, and life skills so they can become the young women they were created to be.

And we are already preparing for Black & Dainty Girls Summer Camp 2027!

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ISN’T ALWAYS PHYSICAL.

Sometimes, abuse doesn’t leave a bruise.

It can look like:

🚩 Constantly monitoring your phone, location, or social media
🚩 Controlling who you can talk to or spend time with
🚩 Isolating you from family and friends
🚩 Controlling your money or preventing you from working
🚩 Threatening to hurt you, themselves, your children, or someone you love
🚩 Belittling you, humiliating you, or constantly making you feel “less than”
🚩 Manipulating you until you question your own reality
🚩 Pressuring or coercing you into sexual activity
🚩 Making you afraid to say “no” or express your feelings
🚩 Using intimidation to make you feel like you have to walk on eggshells

Abuse is about power and control—not just physical violence.

If someone consistently makes you feel afraid, controlled, isolated, or powerless, that matters.

And if you’re experiencing any of these behaviors, it is not your fault. You deserve relationships where you feel safe, respected, heard, and free to be yourself.

This October, Black and Dainty is having the conversations we sometimes avoid—but need to have.

Let’s recognize the red flags.
Let’s talk about control.
Let’s talk about healthy love.
Let’s talk about knowing our worth.

Because knowing what abuse looks like can be the first step toward recognizing that you deserve something different.
