ARCHER WELCOMES BEN LYON
Archer Advanced Rubber Components is pleased to welcome Ben Lyon as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Ben is a seasoned senior financial executive and Certified Public Accountant with more than 16 years of experience in public accounting, corporate finance, and governance.

Ben brings a strong industrial manufacturing background, having held leadership roles with Canon USA and Mack Trucks, a unit of Volvo Trucks. His experience spans complex manufacturing environments, operational finance, and strategic leadership.

Prior to his career in finance and management, Ben served 10 years in the U.S. Army, including a combat deployment to Iraq. He credits his military service with shaping a disciplined, mission-focused leadership approach.

Ben values collaborative, values-driven organizations and is drawn to cohesive teams aligned by integrity and shared purpose. “The Archer team works to improve themselves, the company, and each other every day,” he said. “There is real truth in Henry Ford’s observation: ‘If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.’”

Outside of work, Ben is an avid reader with a particular appreciation for epic fantasy, including the works of J.R.R. Tolkien. He finds enduring lessons in these stories—such as loyalty, integrity, purpose, and perseverance—that resonate in both professional and personal life.

Ben and his wife of 17 years have two teenage children, and as a family they enjoy staying active through outdoor pursuits such as hiking and kayaking.
