As temperatures continue to fall, consider using compost to keep your shrub beds from freezing. Technically compost doesn't require as much moister as one might think, so cover your shrub beds with a lite layer of compost so thermal warming can begin. You will be surprised how warm temps can reach! Preserve and sustain your property!

In the event you have not pruned your grape vines, prune now while we are still in the dormant season. Late winter or spring pruning will cause “bleeding” (flow of sap through the pruning wounds), but this should not cause alarm since it does not damage the plant. Dress warm!!!!!!!!!!!
